I chose to design a Facebook page it is the most commonly used social media it is today. Parents, college students, and teenagers use this social media to interact with one another, express their thoughts, and find out information. I figured if I posted information about the Tallahassee’s Boys and Girls Club on such a popular social media, then it will get gain more attention. Since my main audience is college students, I am able to reach out to them faster and give them the information they need about the organization. Also Facebook allows me to reach the community on a local scale. Broadcasting the events the Boys and Girls Club are hosting in the Tallahassee community.

I decided that since I was targeting college students my best bet to be able to reach them would probably be through some form of social media. I chose to use a Facebook page because I am most fimiliar with it and it also is the most easy to work with in terms of making it a page to promote an organization. Besides being able to target my main audience I also thought that a Facebook page would be the best way to stay in constant contanct with those that are interested in volunteering. In this way those that have liked the page always have the Boys and Girls Club in the back of their minds because the page will continue to appear on their newsfeed.
